Mary Sue (Sue) Wiese (Shearer)

MARY SUE WIESE SHEARER: August 2, 1945—March 1, 2023

Mary “Sue” S. Shearer, 77, passed away March 1, 2023.

Sue grew up in Bryan TX and worked at Alenco and All-Season Window for 40 years and was awarded a retirement party. She met her best friend of 57 years, Frankie Richardson, while working there together.

A loving person, Sue loved hanging out with family and friends and dancing barefoot, but some of the greatest days of her life were the births of her children and her grandchildren. She cherished Christmas get-togethers and family trips. She collected Dreamsicles and Snow Babies and she will be remembered for saying, “I’ll think about it” and “Give me a minute.” She also enjoyed embroidering, taking photos, and reading. Sue had a strong faith in God and attended Church of Christ.

Sue is now reunited with her late husband, Robert G. Shearer; her parents, Herbert and Emma Lee Wiese; and her sister, Barbra Wiese.

She is survived by her children, Troy Simmons and spouse Lanita, and David Borg and spouse, Deborah; grandchildren, Jeremiah James, Sr., and spouse Heather, Rosita E. Borg, Felicia Wells and spouse Mason, Teressa Fling and spouse Joseph, Ella Weaver Borg, Amanda Simmons and spouse Marlon Reid, Shelby Simmons and spouse JJ Webre, Josh Contreras, Kayla Contreras, and Chris Contreras; great grandchildren, Tessa L. Fenner, Tatum Q. Fenner, Jett E. Webre, Remi Reid, Nevaeh M. James, Jeremiah James, Jr., Randy A. James, Eli Wells, and Emmet Wells; and sister, Joyce Simmons and husband Jack.

The family would like to acknowledge the following special people: her nieces, Torii D. Slezinsky, Sandra K. Loughridge, and Joie M. Ford, and her friends, Frankie Richardson, Rachel Ellis, and Angie Perez.

There will be a visitation on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Hillier of Bryan, and a celebration of life at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The graveside service will be held at College Station City Cemetery immediately following the services.
