In Memory

Jackie Sue Harding (Watson)

JACKIE SUE HARDING WATSON: November 14, 1944—March 19, 2026.

Jackie Sue Harding Watson, 81, died peacefully at home on March 19, 2026. She was born on November 14, 1944, to Henry Clay and Cora Vernon Harding, the last of six children.

She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Cora and her siblings: Corena Sheffield, Leslie Jo Crawford, Essie Manthei, Ruby Frankson, and Roland Harding. She grieved for her youngest son, Britt Watson, until her memory took away that pain.

Jackie leaves behind her daughter, Michelle (Johnnie) Baker, her son, Brad Watson and daughter-in-law, Shana Watson Clow. She is also survived by her-sister-in law, Sylvia Harding, eleven grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren—plus her chihuahua, Bentley, that she lovingly called Britches.

She was a 1963 graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School in Bryan TX. She worked at several jobs over the years but the one that she considered the most important was her job as a mother to her three children. Jackie was known for the love of God, family and country. She was very talented at sewing and was known for making everything for her grandchildren’s nursery’s. Jackie loved music and collected albums for many years—especially oldies like Elvis. She ended up with close to a thousand albums that her family members still enjoy listening to today.

Services were held on Monday, March 30, 2026. Visitation was at 9:30; services were at 10:30, with interment following at Reliance Baptist Church, 5925 Reliance Church Road, Bryan TX 77808.
