Pat Cangelosi

Patrick Paul Cangelosi, 64, passed away suddenly on October 8, 2009.

He attended Texas A&M University, remained a devoted Aggie, and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, where his loyalty to his country was steadfast. His career took him to the Dallas area in 1972, where he continued to reside. Pat was an avid golfer, a born salesman, consistently active in his local church, and dedicated to his profession as a consultant in the mergers and acquisitions industry.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Hammett Cangelosi, of Prosper; children, Lisa Cangelosi Brown and husband, Joe, of College Station; Christopher Cangelosi and wife, Rachel, of Brenham; John Cangelosi and wife, Nicole, of Prosper; granddaughters Janie, Miriam, Sally, and Annie Cangelosi of Brenham; grandson, Elias Cangelosi, of Prosper; mother, Lucille Cangelosi, of Bryan; sister and brother-in-law, Laurel and Martin Medhurst, of McGregor; and their children, James Snedden and Julia Medhurst; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Joan Hammett, of Plano, and their children, Allison Hammett, Andrew Hammett and wife, Kelly, Anne Mills and husband, Seth; numerous cousins; and a wealth of friends.

Pat is especially remembered for his passion for life and love for Jesus Christ. His spiritual gift of evangelism changed the lives of countless friends, as well as strangers. He never hesitated to show his love for anyone in need by his actions. He felt that his mission as a follower of Christ was to exemplify the unconditional love that our Heavenly Father has for us all, especially for those who hadn't experienced or known that relationship before.

What I remember most about Pat as we were in class together is that he always had a smile on his face.  Nothing ever seemed to upset him.  He had a very kind spirit about him.  I'm glad that I knew Pat and called him my friend.  From reading the above orbituary, he never stopped touching lives.
